Alaska Photos Page 3, Wasilla

We drove through Wasilla on our way to Talkeetna. On the return trip, we stopped and I shot several photos. Wasilla is the fifth-largest city in the state, with a population of about 10,000. Located on the northern point of Cook Inlet in the Matanuska-Susitna Valley, Wasilla is a very picturesque small town that is situated along a lake and surrounded by mountains. The town is named after Chief Wasilla, a local Dena'ina chief.
